Within the scope of the Ergene watershed protection action plan, 7 advanced biological wastewater treatment facilities were completed and operated in Tekirdağ (Malkara, Hayrabolu, Muratlı, Saray), Kırklareli (Babaeski, Pınarhisar) and Edirne (Keşan). In these facilities, 50.000 m³/day wastewater treatment is performed, and it is discharged into the Ergene Basin.
